Ok got a DX58SO board, I7 940, looking to get a 6 gb (3x2) triple channel kit for it... suggestions I keep reading and going in circles. Oh and forget about bashing the board, it's what I got and no changing it. Besides I like intel boards regardless of what others say. My Badaxe2 has been stellar!

almost any of the major brands of memory will serve you fine. I'm, currently using patriot and it has been great, it's cheaper than corsair. I've seen people use OCZ and have good results, though some don't trust them. Their ssd hard-drives have been great for me. so my advice, buy mid-range price good name product, on sale if you can find it. buy 1366 or 1600 for speed and under clock it so you can raise the cpu value. with the i7 overclocking the cpu raises the memory speed, so that's the reason for underclocking the memory in the first place.
