I got everything I could out of the Win7 evaluation. Installed the full version of Home Premium today.

I like Win7 runing both the 32bit and 64bit thanks to my technet

Yeah I ran 64bit Ultimate as long as I could but as far as features vs price go home was the best choice for me as the Win XP compatibility mode was none existent for me Win7 ran everything I threw at it.

win xp virtual doesn't access the drivers for the video. ie it wont run games, so it wouldn't matter anyway.

Yup and I didn't need all the other backup stuff and network options that pro or ultimate threw out there so why waste the money. What I saved on the OS I was able to get a new rig up and running for the kids with my old Commando MB, 8800GTS and a new E6500 for them.

my computer updated itself and it wanted me to activate my windows bc my copy wasnt genuine
